Hi, I’m Christina—though most people call me Kiki! I was born and raised in Miami in a Venezuelan and Cuban household. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with children, but it wasn’t until I shadowed a family friend who was a speech therapist that I realized I had found the perfect fit for me!
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University and my Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Central Florida. For the past six years, I’ve been working with children here in Miami, specializing in early language development and early intervention.
My approach is play-based and child-led, integrating therapeutic goals into a child’s natural play and interests. I believe that when children are engaged and motivated by what they’re doing, they have the best opportunity to learn and grow. What I love most about this work is seeing children develop their communication—whether it’s learning a new word, expressing themselves more clearly, or gaining confidence in their voice. Every milestone, no matter how small, is a reminder of why I chose this career and why I’m so passionate about supporting children and their families along the way.
